sandbox_list

Lists the account's boxes, teammates' included, most recently used first, with each box's name, goal, state and URLs. It only reads and never wakes a box.

Input Output
all (optional) boxes[{id, name, goal, status, agent, placement, size, clientName, createdAt, lastUsedAt, stopsAt, restorableUntil, sceneUrl, webUrl, services, linkedFrom, recentNotes}], most recently used first, at most 100, and a note when there are more

Lists the account's boxes, most recently used first, at most 100 (a note says how many more there are). Every connection of the account sees the same list, so it includes the boxes teammates' agents started. By default it lists live boxes (starting, ready, taken over, frozen or stopping); all: true adds stopped ones (terminated or interrupted). It only reads: listing never wakes a frozen box or counts as using it. stopsAt is when the idle rules stop a box for good unless it is used before then; restorableUntil, on a stopped box listed with all: true, is until when sandbox_start with restore can bring it back (Box states).

sandbox_list { "all": true }
  • Each box has id, name, goal, status, agent (live boxes only: whether the conversation that last used it is still at it, as in Which conversation is using a box), placement, size, clientName (the MCP client that started it), createdAt, lastUsedAt, sceneUrl, webUrl, services, linkedFrom (the live boxes linked to it) and recentNotes, the notes of its last 3 steps, oldest first: what it is doing and, when the notes say so, with which test account or resource, without a sandbox_status per box. agent.untracked: true marks a box last used without a conversation id (an API-key script or REST), whose state is only a guess from idle time.
  • services are as declared, with each web service's url, a link's fromBox and a version's version. A version's run there is what ParallelSandbox recorded (not_started, starting, or failed with the error); sandbox_status asks the box for the live state.
  • Use it to find the id of a box to link to (services[].fromBox), to see what teammates run, to find a box another conversation left by its name or goal (Picking up a box another conversation left), and to find boxes nobody needs any more and sandbox_stop them: a running box uses credits, and a frozen one still counts toward the account's box limit.
  • Boxes record the MCP client that started them (clientName), not the credential, so on a shared account only a box's name says whose it is, and its goal what it is for. Name boxes <person>: <task> and put the rest in goal; stop only boxes you started (keep the ids sandbox_start returned) or whose name says they are yours; never stop boxes in bulk by age; ask before stopping a teammate's box.
  • The REST equivalent is GET /v1/boxes, with ?all=1 for stopped boxes. It is ordered by when each box was started (newest first), holds 200 boxes at most, and also carries screenInUse, screenActive, posterUrl and review, the card waiting for the person (see REST).
